Originally built over 100 years ago in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, the Church in the Grove was relocated to our grounds and lovingly restored in 1986. Its lovely sanctuary and churchyard provide a beautiful and inspiring wedding location.

The Church in the Grove
A favorite ceremony location for many wedding couples, the Church in the Grove is a intimate turn-of-the-century church originally built in Eureka Springs over a 100 years ago. We moved this special place of worship to The Great Passion Play grounds in 1986 and refurbished it with beautiful stained glass windows, a lovely church porch, and a churchyard.
Christ Of The Ozarks Statue
Standing seven stories tall, the Christ of the Ozarks statue overlooks the beautiful Ozarks Mountains and the historic village of Eureka Springs, Arkansas. This serene outdoor setting is a very beautiful place for your wedding ceremony. A small gazebo offers some seating for a few guests. Your wedding party may stand on the statue grounds.

SEE THE GREAT PASSION PLAY! Special group rates for wedding parties of 15 or more, plus free admission for the bride and groom when married on The Great Passion Play grounds.
Rules & Requirements
Payment in Advance by credit card or check is required for scheduled weddings.
Wedding License
The State of Arkansas does not require a waiting period or blood tests; however, you must have an Arkansas Wedding License in order to take advantage of our lovely facilities. You may obtain a license at a County Court House or at the Court House in Eureka Springs, Mondays through Fridays, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. I.D. is required.
If possible, please drop your license off at the SACRED ARTS CENTER prior to your wedding.
Location Rules
Help us make your wedding day special for everyone. Please remind your guests of the following Great Passion Play rules:
No smoking, food, or beverages allowed inside the Church in the Grove.
No alcoholic beverages allowed on The Great Passion Play grounds.
No rice throwing, please. Birdseeds may be substituted but thrown outside only. Bubbles are suggested.
Arrival Time
Please arrive no more than 30 minutes before your scheduled wedding. Small wedding parties may arrive 10 minutes before the ceremony is scheduled.
