Our Trip Planner has been designed to help you plan your visit to the Great Passion Play and to assist you in enjoying our lovely Ozark mountain area.

The Great Passion Play complex is located in the Ozark Mountains in historic Eureka Springs, Arkansas near Branson, Missouri. No matter how long you and your family or group will be visiting in our area, we invite you to experience the majesty and drama of a Great Passion Play performance and our many inspirational on-site attractions.

The daytime temperatures at The Great Passion Play are almost always comfortable. Average daytime highs run from the 70s in April, May, and October to the lower 90s in July and August. Temperatures at night are pleasantly cool during the summer months, and during the spring and fall the nights are crisp and beautiful. The average night-time temperature in April is 47° ; in May it is 55° ; in June, July, and August the average lows are in the 70s, in September the average low is 58° ; in October average low is 48°.

Area Attractions & Lodging
The fact that The Great Passion PlayTM is located in Eureka Springs makes your stay even more delightful. This unique town, nestled in the scenic Ozark Mountains of Arkansas, offers a variety of experiences. The historic downtown is filled with restored Victorian architecture, quaint shops, interesting art galleries, outstanding dining and friendly people. In addition to The Great Passion PlayTM and the New Holy Land Tour, Eureka Springs features many attractions appealing to all ages. Botanical gardens, music shows, a steam train, and a wild-life refuge are just a few attractions that will add to your experience. Be sure to visit our area friends!

Getting around Eureka Springs is easy, too! Just take one of the motorized trolleys around the city. The trolleys are fun, economical, and relieve you of all driving responsibilities. Parking is never a problem when you are on a trolley. Regular trolley pick-up and return is available at The Great Passion Play, during the day, where you may park your vehicle for free. The last trolley comes to our parking lot at 5:30 PM.

Eureka Springs has a rich history. Those who enjoy finding out about our past will enjoy learning about the early days when Eureka Springs was frequented by the Creek, Choctaw, and Shawnee Nations because of the "healing waters" here. By the late 1800s, Eureka Springs had become a spa and vacation paradise, much as it is today.

For the adventurous, the area has great fishing, camping, and water sports opportunities. There are wonderful walking trails as well as horseback and wagon rides.

Eureka Springs has been called the "wedding capital of the south". There are a variety of beautiful places for marriage ceremonies in the area, including the Church in the Grove on the grounds of The Great Passion PlayTM and at the Christ of the Ozarks statue. Arkansas wedding licenses may be purchased at the Carroll County Courthouse, 44 South Main Street in Eureka Springs and no blood tests are required. Eureka Springs is the perfect place to honeymoon!

The Great Passion Play and Eureka Springs, AR are located 48 scenic miles south of Branson, Missouri. For information about shows and other attractions in Branson you may contact the Branson/Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce.
